Line Measurement
You can measure in the 3D Workspace by creating vertical and horizontal lines. Measurements can be created in a polyline, as well as a single line.
Note: Functions in the side panel are disabled when in measure mode in order to prevent conflicting actions.
Measure mode
1. Click [Measurement button] on the sidebar to activate Measure. The toolbar appears to the right next to the button.
2. On the main screen, click on a point to start measuring. By default, measurements are made from the floor as a reference.
3. To measure from the ceiling down, the ceiling height must be set. (Admin and editor can set the ceiling height in the Survey Editor. Refer to” Change the ceiling height “in the Survey Editor.
4. A dotted line that follows the pointer will extend from the first point. Select the next point of measurement with a click. The line will snap into a blue vertical line if the cursor is on the vertical axis. (Keep pressing [Shirt key] will allow your line to be
5. Continue the measurement by creating a polyline, or exit with .
6. Multiple measurements can be created in one 3D Workspace. Click on the toolbar to delete all created measurements.
7. The total length of your polyline measurement will display in the top center of your screen.
Edit mode
8. To edit measurements, use the pan tool to select the measurement and click+drag the vertex to the new position.
9. When editing points that are “mid-air”, notice the guide line and mesh to indicate the position.
10. You can save your measurement by clicking on the Save button .
Tip: The following are tips for the best practice.
Adjust the viewpoint angle so that the measurements can be on the center of the main screen.
You can also end the Polyline measurement by snapping the last point onto the first point.
Angle
When measuring, the angle dynamically updates after the second click to show the degree angle generated with the second point.
Angle
Note
The degree value always displays on the outside of the angle.
Once the measurement is complete, the angles are hidden.
When the user selects the angle, it appears again.
Build 3D objects
By default, measurements are made in reference to the floor. For more advanced measurements, you can build a 3D box or a plane to serve as a reference for measurement.
Build 3D
Build 3D
Once built, the 3D objects will display the LxWxH dimensions as well as the surface area (S) and the volume (V).
After building 3D objects, click to switch to [Measure] mode.
Select any two points 3D on objects and get measurements.
You can save your 3D object by clicking on the Save button .
Note
After creating a 3D box, you can still extrude the plane with the white dot to change the width and height of the 3D box.
3D objects and measurements are saved within the scene at the created point.
Use tools
Use tools to explore the 360 image on the main screen with created measurements and 3D objects, to get the calculation and to delete.
Pan tool
On the toolbar, click icon to overview all the measurements and 3D objects in the 3D Workspace.
Hover over any visible plane to get the area calculated.
After selecting a certain measurement or object, click to delete the selected object. You can click and delete the measurements and 3D objects one by one.
Click icon on the toolbar to clear all measures and 3D boxes in the 3D Workspace.
