Measurement UI

１	Measurement	Switch on/off the measurement mode.

Line Measurement

You can measure in the 3D Workspace by creating vertical and horizontal lines. Measurements can be created in a polyline, as well as a single line.

Note: Functions in the side panel are disabled when in measure mode in order to prevent conflicting actions.

Measurement mode

Click [Measurement button] on the sidebar to activate measure mode, and the toolbar appears to the right next to it.
Click on a point to start measuring. By default, measurements are made from the floor as a reference.
Click the next point of measurement. A dotted line that follows the pointer will extend from the first point. The line will change into a blue vertical line on the vertical axis. Also for mid-air measurement, the line will mesh.
Continue the measurement by creating a polyline, or click [check button] to finish creating the lines. * You can also end the Polyline measurement by snapping the last point onto the first point.
The total length of your polyline measurement will display in the distance display on top of the main screen.
Click the [Save] button on the left-bottom of the screen.
To edit the created line object, click the [Hand] button to select the object. Click on a vertex and drag it to the desired position.

8. To delete a line object you have created, click the [Hand] button, select the object you want to delete, and then click the [Trash bin] at the bottom-center of the screen. If you want to delete all at once, click the [Broom] button.

Tip:

Adjust the viewing angle so that the measurements can be on the center of the main screen.
When drawing the verticle line, hold [shift key] and it will fix the vertical axis and make it easier to draw a line.
For accurate measurement, line creation (measurement) has to start from the floor. To measure from the ceiling down, the ceiling height must be set. Refer to” Change the ceiling height “in the Survey Editor.

Ex) Measurement of the part away from the floor

1. Click on floor #1 in the image below. Drag the mouse to corner #2 in the image below by holding down the [shift key]. *The vertical line is indicated with a blue dotted line.

2. Click on the #2 and release the [shift key] to drag the mouse to corner #3. *The horizontal axis is indicated with a white dotted line.

4. Click on the [Check button] to finish creating the line.

*In the image below the [Magnifying zoom] button is activated.

Check Angle

When measuring, the angle dynamically updates after the second click to show the degree angle generated with the second point. Once the measurement is complete, the angles are hidden.

Click the [Hand] button in the toolbar.
Select the object you want to check.
Check the degree value displays on the outside of the angle.

Build 3D objects

By default, measurements are made in reference to the floor. For more advanced measurements, you can build a 3D box or a plane to serve as a reference for measurement.

Click the [3D Object]button in the toolbar.
Click on 2 points to create one side, drag, and click to create a 2D box. Drag pointer to the vertical axis and click at the desired height to create a 3D box. Once built, the 3D objects will display the LxWxH dimensions as well as the surface area (S) and the volume (V).
After building 3D objects, click the [Line]button.
Select any two points 3D on objects and get measurements.
You can save your 3D object by clicking on the [Save button].
To edit the height of the created 3D object, hover the mouse over the axis and click & drag the white circle. To edit the size of the 3D object, hover the mouse over the surface of the object and click and drag the white dot.

7. To delete 3D object you have created, click the [Hand] button, select the object you want to delete, and then click the [Trash bin] at the bottom-center of the screen. If you want to delete all at once, click the [Broom] button.
