Setting up
Before heading off to the site, you need to prepare and set up both software and hardware gadgets.
Requirements
Tripod
Smartphone
Clamp
Smartphone holder
Ricoh Theta (V, Z1)
Download INSITE App
Open the App Store and search for 3i INSITE.

Go back to the home screen.
The 3i INSITE app is on one of the home screens.Tap the 3i INSITE app to open the mobile app.
Tip: You can also use the following QR code to get to the app store directly.
Preparation - Battery & Storage
Make sure the camera and the smartphone have enough battery. Take extra battery if you are planning to capture a long time(over 2 hours).
Both the camera and the smartphone need to have enough memory. (For example, 3GB is required for 1,000m2.)
Tripod Setup
Unfold all legs of the tripod. Make sure they are completely unfolded and level.
Pull out of the body of the tripod to the desired height.
Fasten the connection of the body.
Tighten and secure the legs of the tripod.
Clamp Setup
Connect the small rig with the clamp.
Locate the clamp on the tripod at the chest level.
Fasten the screw and mount the smartphone holder tightly.
iPhone Setup
While capturing the survey, make your iPhone have a landscape orientation.
Tip: Slightly tilt the iPhone towards the ground for better tracking quality.
Camera Connection
Press the top button on the side of the camera. Make sure the Wifi is on.
Go to phone settings and turn on the wifi of the smartphone.
Select the camera’s network named “THETAYJ000000000.OSC”. The 0’s at the end is a combination of numbers and letters, unique to each 360 camera.
This combination of numbers and letters serves as the Wifi password.
Camera Setup
After setting up the tripod, put the 360 camera on the top of the tripod.
